There will be an hour of chat with the authors, followed by Q & A from the auduience. There will be an opportunity to buy books from the authors - please bring cash.

Published by Bookouture, Angela Petch is an award-winning writer of fiction – and the occasional poem.

Every summer she moves to Tuscany for six months where she and her husband own a renovated watermill which they let out. When not exploring their unspoilt corner of the Apennines, she disappears to her writing desk at the top of a converted stable. In her Italian handbag or hiking rucksack she always makes sure to store notebook and pen to jot down ideas.

The winter months are spent in Sussex where most of her family live. When Angela’s not helping out with grandchildren, she catches up with writer friends.

Angela’s gripping WWII novels set in Italy are published by Bookouture. While her novel, Mavis and Dot, was self-published and tells of the frolics and foibles of two best-friends who live by the seaside. Angela also writes short stories published in Prima and People’s Friend.

Juliet’s critically acclaimed debut novel Before the Fall (Pan Macmillan, 2014) is set in London during the First World War, while 1930s-set The Faithful (Pan Macmillan, 2017) was picked as a recommended read by Good Housekeeping and Red magazines. Juliet’s short stories have been published in various magazines and anthologies including The French Literary Review, The Sunday Times and the Sunday Express. Juliet grew up in Worthing, and after spells in Dorset, Hampshire and London, she now lives near Horsham.

Book Club meets on the seond Friday of each month to discuss and share recommendations based around a theme. Each March they are delighted to host WORDfest and local authors. Everyone is welcome to join them.
